Summary
This study looked at 172 people with and without HIV to understand why those with HIV have a higher risk of diabetes. Researchers examined fat tissue and immune cells to see if chronic immune activation in fat contributes to insulin resistance. The goal was to gather knowledge, not to test a new treatment.
