First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study aims to see if lab-grown tumor models can predict how well heated chemotherapy (HIPEC) works during surgery for cancers that have spread to the abdomen. About 60 adults whose tumors cannot be fully removed safely will take part. Researchers will compare tumor responses in the lab with actual responses during surgery to improve future treatment choices.
