First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at 150 people with colorectal cancer who had a high chance of the cancer spreading inside their abdomen. After standard chemotherapy, half were watched closely, while the other half had surgery to look inside the belly and received heated chemotherapy directly into the abdomen. The goal was to see if this extra treatment could help them live longer without the cancer coming back.
