First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looked at 193 people with stomach, appendix, or colon cancer who had surgery to remove tumors. Some also received heated chemotherapy directly in the belly during the operation. Researchers wanted to see if the heated chemo affected how quickly the bowels started working again and if it led to more complications. The goal is to help doctors understand the risks and benefits of this treatment.
