Summary

This study looks at whether adding dexmedetomidine to a standard numbing medicine (ropivacaine) in a nerve block can improve pain control after hip replacement surgery. About 120 adults aged 18-80 having elective hip surgery will take part. The goal is to see if the combination delays the need for additional painkillers and reduces opioid use.
