Summary
This study tested whether strict movement restrictions after hip replacement surgery are necessary to prevent dislocation. Over 1,100 patients with hip arthritis were randomly assigned to follow the usual precautions or not. Researchers measured dislocation rates, how quickly patients returned to daily activities, and overall satisfaction.
