Chair stands put to the test: new rehab approach for hip fracture patients

NCT ID NCT05840315

First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested whether doing many sit-to-stand exercises (like standing up from a chair) is safe and doable for people aged 60+ recovering from a hip fracture. 30 participants tried this training as part of their rehab. The goal was to see if it could build leg strength without causing lasting hip pain. The study checked if most people could stick with the program and if pain stayed mild.
