Freezing nerves to fight hip fracture pain

NCT ID NCT06278987

Summary

This study is testing which of two pain control methods works better for adults recovering from hip fracture surgery. It compares freezing specific nerves near the hip (cryoablation) to placing a temporary pain medication catheter. The main goal is to see which method provides better pain relief one month after surgery and reduces the need for opioid painkillers.
