10-Year study: could early Alzheimer's clues predict survival after a broken hip?
NCT ID NCT07443566
Summary
This study followed 404 patients for 10 years after their hip fracture surgery. Researchers wanted to see if signs of early Alzheimer's disease, measured in spinal fluid at the time of surgery, were linked to how long patients lived. The goal is to better understand long-term risks for older adults who break a hip.
