First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether high-intensity interval training (HIIT) or moderate continuous exercise is better at rebuilding muscle and improving function in people who have had a stroke and suffer from muscle loss (sarcopenia). About 32 adults who had a stroke 1-6 months ago will be randomly assigned to one of two exercise programs. The goal is to see which approach better increases muscle thickness, strength, walking ability, and quality of life.
