Veterans test High-Intensity workouts to fight frailty and boost recovery

NCT ID NCT05625204

Summary

This study is testing whether a 12-week high-intensity interval training (HIIT) program can help reduce frailty and improve resilience in older veterans. Researchers will enroll 200 veterans aged 65 and older to compare exercise done at a center versus at home. The goal is to see if this type of exercise improves physical fitness, reduces frailty risk, and enhances the body's ability to recover from stress.
