Can intense workouts speed up recovery from cancer treatment?
NCT ID NCT05238376
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week exercise program could help people recover after a stem cell transplant for blood cancer. Sixteen patients and their caregivers followed a program of high-intensity interval training and strength exercises. Researchers measured changes in physical ability, mental health, quality of life, and caregiver strain to see if the workouts were beneficial.
