First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests a new, high-resolution probe to measure colon muscle activity in people with severe constipation that doesn't get better with standard laxatives. Researchers will compare results from 76 patients and healthy volunteers to see if the probe can better identify colon problems. The goal is to improve diagnosis, not to provide a treatment.
