Protein drink tested for Post-Workout recovery in healthy adults

NCT ID NCT07497113

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether a commercially available high-protein yoghurt drink helps muscles recover after intense exercise. 62 healthy adults aged 18-45 took part. Researchers measured amino acid levels in the blood and markers of muscle damage, inflammation, and physical function over 72 hours. The goal was to see if the drink improves recovery compared to a plain protein drink or flavored water.
