Study aims to boost recovery for seniors after hospital stays
NCT ID NCT05492240
Summary
This large study tested whether a high-intensity rehabilitation program could help older adults recover better after being discharged from the hospital to a skilled nursing facility. It involved over 4,300 participants across 32 facilities, comparing the new rehab approach to usual care. The goal was to improve walking speed, physical function, and reduce the need for rehospitalization.
