First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether a high-intensity exercise program can improve language, thinking, and physical health in people with aphasia after a stroke. About 120 adults who had a stroke at least 6 months ago will be randomly assigned to either a high-intensity or low-intensity group exercise class for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in language ability, movement, and well-being right after the program and again 12 weeks later.
