First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving high-flow oxygen through a breathing tube is safe and helpful for brain-injured patients who can breathe on their own but still need the tube to protect their airway. 24 patients in the Neuro ICU took part. The goal was to see if this method could reduce the time they spend on a ventilator and lower risks like pneumonia.
