First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether high-calorie foods or a special high-calorie formula can help underweight children aged 1 to 5 with congenital heart disease gain weight. Seventy-five children will be split into three groups: standard diet, high-calorie diet, or high-calorie diet plus formula. Over 8 weeks, researchers will measure weight gain, appetite, and feeding tolerance to find the best way to improve nutrition and health in these children.
