Can a simple oxygen treatment ease pressure on failing hearts?

NCT ID NCT04471129

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether high-flow oxygen therapy can lower pressure in the heart's blood vessels for people with chronic heart failure who have just had heart surgery. Researchers will compare it to non-invasive ventilation (a breathing machine). The goal is to understand how these treatments affect heart function, not to cure the condition. About 30 adults who meet specific criteria will take part.
