Scientists test breathing machines on healthy volunteers to find best settings

NCT ID NCT06228703

Summary

This study tested how different airflow settings on two new high-flow nasal oxygen devices affect lung volume and comfort in healthy adults. Twenty-six healthy volunteers tried the devices at various settings while researchers measured their lung volume and asked about comfort. The goal was to gather basic information to help doctors better set these devices for future patients who need breathing support.
