Ancient herbs meet modern viruses in fight against untreatable pneumonia

This study aims to see if combining a traditional Chinese herbal formula with a special virus therapy can help people with severe pneumonia caused by bacteria that don't respond to standard antibiotics. Researchers will enroll 240 adults with this hard-to-treat infection to test if the combination can clear the bacteria faster, improve symptoms, and reduce the risk of death. This is an early-stage trial to gather initial evidence on whether this approach is safe and effective.
