New hope for advanced breast cancer: experimental drug combo enters phase 3 trial

Summary

This phase 3 study tests a new drug called IBI354, given alone or with another drug (pertuzumab), against the current standard treatment for people with advanced HER2-positive breast cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. The trial aims to see if the new combination can delay cancer growth or improve survival. About 540 adults with this type of breast cancer will take part.
