Can hepatitis b still spread when blood tests show no virus?
NCT ID NCT07449091
Summary
This study aims to understand if people with hepatitis B who have undetectable virus levels in their blood also have undetectable levels in other body fluids like saliva and semen. Researchers will compare people on long-term treatment with those not on treatment to see if the 'Undetectable=Untransmittable' concept applies to hepatitis B. The findings could help reduce stigma and anxiety about transmission for people living with hepatitis B.
