NCT ID NCT07345624

First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving two medicines—entecavir followed by pegylated interferon—can achieve a 'functional cure' for chronic hepatitis B in children aged 3 to 6 years. A functional cure means the virus is suppressed and no longer active, even after treatment stops. The trial will enroll 80 children who have not had prior treatment and compare the two-drug approach to entecavir alone.
