New hope for hepatitis b patients after treatment fails?

NCT ID NCT04496882

Summary

This study is for people with chronic hepatitis B who stopped their antiviral medication, then had a dangerous flare-up of the virus. It tests if switching to a newer drug called tenofovir alafenamide (TAF) is effective at getting the virus back under control and protecting the liver. Researchers will compare results to a group of similar patients who restart their old medication instead.
