New shot combo aims to knock out hepatitis b virus

Summary
This study is testing whether a combination of two injectable drugs can help control chronic Hepatitis B infection. It will involve about 50 adults with a mild or inactive form of the disease. Participants will receive monthly and weekly injections over six months, with the goal of reducing the amount of virus and related proteins in their blood to very low levels, which is considered a 'functional cure'.
