Heart procedure safety study aims to reduce blood clot and bleeding risks

NCT ID NCT07361081

Summary

This study looks back at 300 patients who had a procedure to treat an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation). It compares two different ways doctors give a blood-thinning medicine (heparin) during the procedure. The goal is to see which method keeps the patient's blood at the safest thickness level to prevent both dangerous clots and excessive bleeding.
