New study aims to reduce clot and bleeding risks during heart procedure
NCT ID NCT07361081
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at 300 adults who had a heart procedure called ablation for atrial fibrillation. It compares two methods of giving the blood thinner heparin: a steady drip versus occasional shots. The goal is to see which method keeps blood clotting time in the ideal range (250-350 seconds) more consistently, which may lower the risk of dangerous clots or bleeding.
