First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 40 times

Summary

This study looked at 84 older adults (over 55) having carotid artery surgery to see if the anesthetic gas xenon keeps blood pressure as stable as the standard drug sevoflurane. The goal was to compare how well each drug controls blood pressure during the operation. The study did not aim to treat or cure any disease, but to gather knowledge about anesthetic effects.
