Summary

This study tested whether the anesthetic gas xenon keeps blood pressure as stable as sevoflurane during carotid artery surgery in patients over 55. 84 participants were monitored for blood pressure changes every minute during the operation. The goal was to see if xenon is a good alternative for maintaining heart stability in elderly patients.
