First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at whether help from a significant other (like a family member or friend) can improve how well people with high blood pressure follow healthy habits and take their medication. 133 people with high blood pressure and their significant others took part. The significant others reminded participants to take their medicine, limit salt and alcohol, quit smoking, eat better, exercise, and lose weight. The study measured medication adherence and healthy lifestyle changes.
