Study tests if a helmet is better than a mask for helping people breathe
NCT ID NCT06210386
Summary
This study aimed to understand if a clear plastic helmet is better than a standard facemask for delivering breathing support to patients with severe lung failure. Researchers tested both methods on 20 patients, measuring how hard they had to work to breathe and their comfort levels. The goal was to gather detailed information to help doctors choose the best support method in the future.
