NCT ID NCT07363941

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving spinal anesthesia based on a patient's height, instead of a standard fixed dose, can prevent dangerous drops in blood pressure and heart rate in older adults (ages 60-80) having leg surgery. Researchers will compare the two dosing methods in 104 participants to see which provides more stable vital signs and better pain relief. The goal is to improve safety and outcomes for elderly surgical patients.
