NCT ID NCT07411313

First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a quick, painless neck ultrasound before surgery can help predict which older patients (65+) will experience a dangerous drop in blood pressure during spinal anesthesia. Researchers will measure the size and flexibility of a neck vein in 85 participants and track their blood pressure during surgery. The goal is to find a simple way to identify at-risk patients and improve their safety.
