New study aims to find best treatment for debilitating heavy periods in young people with bleeding disorders

NCT ID NCT05916469

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two common hormone treatments works better to control heavy menstrual bleeding in adolescents and young adults who have an inherited bleeding disorder. Researchers will follow 300 participants aged 10-24 for six months to see how well an intrauterine device (IUD) or a daily pill reduces bleeding, improves quality of life, and helps with iron levels. The goal is to provide better information to help doctors and patients choose the most effective treatment.
