First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a dose of heated chemotherapy directly into the abdomen during surgery can lower the chance of uterine leiomyosarcoma coming back. About 17 adults with a local recurrence of this rare cancer will receive the treatment, followed by standard chemotherapy. The goal is to see if this approach improves how long patients live without the cancer progressing.
