Heated chemo during surgery may fight ovarian cancer return
NCT ID NCT01970722
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early-phase trial tests whether giving heated chemotherapy directly into the abdomen during surgery can help prevent cancer from coming back in people with advanced ovarian, fallopian tube, uterine, or peritoneal cancer. About 40 participants will receive the heated chemo during surgery, and some may also get unheated chemo afterward. The main goal is to check for side effects and see how well the treatment is tolerated.
