Hot chemo bath tested during ovarian cancer surgery
NCT ID NCT05415709
Summary
This early safety study is testing whether delivering heated chemotherapy directly into the abdomen during surgery is safe for patients with advanced ovarian, fallopian tube, or peritoneal cancer. The trial compares two approaches: giving standard chemotherapy the day before surgery versus giving heated chemotherapy during the surgery itself. Researchers want to see which timing causes fewer side effects while still effectively killing cancer cells.
