Warm legs, better health? home heat therapy trial offers hope for long COVID sufferers

NCT ID NCT06928116

Summary

This study is testing if a simple, at-home heat therapy for the legs can help people with long COVID feel better and move more easily. Researchers want to see if warming the legs for about 45 minutes, several times a week, is safe and can improve walking distance, reduce fatigue, and benefit heart and metabolic health. They are comparing this heat therapy to a neutral temperature treatment and a gentle walking program in adults aged 50-90 who have had long COVID symptoms for at least two months.
