Could a treadmill test help spot heart transplant trouble sooner?

NCT ID NCT04656080

Summary

This study is testing if having heart transplant patients exercise before a special blood test makes the test better at detecting early signs of organ rejection. Researchers want to see if the stress of exercise causes more donor DNA to appear in the blood when there is a problem, which could help doctors catch rejection earlier. The study will enroll 27 recent heart transplant recipients who are healthy enough to perform exercise tests.
