Heart transplant patients test simpler daily pill to prevent organ rejection

NCT ID NCT03373227

Summary

This study tested if a new, once-daily version of a common anti-rejection drug works as well as the standard twice-daily version for heart transplant patients. It involved 50 adults who had received a heart transplant. The main goal was to see if the simpler, once-a-day pill was just as effective at preventing the body from rejecting the new heart and if it was easier for patients to take correctly.
