Doctors-in-Training put to the test in heart surgery skill study
NCT ID NCT06589323
Summary
This study aimed to understand how long it takes heart surgery trainees to become skilled at using two special tools during coronary bypass surgery. The tools help surgeons check the quality of the new blood vessel connections (grafts) during the operation. Researchers observed 80 patients and 8 surgical trainees to measure their learning progress with these techniques.
