Summary

This study tested whether a combination of protective treatments during heart valve surgery could reduce heart muscle damage compared to standard care. Researchers enrolled 210 patients undergoing aortic valve surgery and measured heart injury markers for 72 hours after surgery. The goal was to see if this protective approach could lead to better recovery with fewer complications.
