Scientists probe why some hearts age faster before surgery
NCT ID NCT07389785
Summary
This research program aims to understand why patients with multiple long-term health conditions face higher risks of organ damage after heart surgery. Researchers will analyze existing heart tissue samples and patient data to identify biological changes that make organs more vulnerable. The goal is to uncover new targets for future treatments that could protect organs during surgery.
