Heart surgery timing ratio may predict recovery
NCT ID NCT06873620
First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study examined 348 adults who had open heart surgery with a heart-lung machine. Researchers looked at the ratio of time on the machine to time the heart was stopped to see if it affected complications. The goal was to better understand how these timing factors relate to recovery, not to test a new treatment.
