Heart study seeks clues: can tiny vessel damage predict patient fate?

NCT ID NCT07293338

Summary

This study aims to understand if problems with the heart's smallest blood vessels affect the long-term health of people with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), a condition where the heart muscle is weakened and enlarged. Researchers will observe 330 patients with DCM to see if this small-vessel dysfunction is linked to serious heart events like hospitalization or death. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors better predict and manage this heart condition in the future.
