Would you risk more complications to avoid a permanent heart stent?
NCT ID NCT07378163
Summary
This study aims to understand what heart patients and their doctors prefer when treating clogged arteries: a permanent metal stent or a drug-coated balloon that leaves no implant. Researchers will survey 600 people, including patients who have had these procedures and the healthcare providers who perform them. The goal is to learn how much extra risk people are willing to accept to avoid having a permanent device left in their heart.
