New heart stent aims to cut bleeding risk for vulnerable patients
NCT ID NCT06863155
Summary
This study is testing a new type of heart stent in patients with coronary artery disease who need a stent but are already taking long-term blood thinners. These patients are at high risk for serious bleeding. The new stent is designed to release medication and dissolve over time, which may allow doctors to shorten the duration of additional blood-thinning therapy after the procedure, potentially reducing bleeding risks.
