Doctors test how far a heart stent can safely stretch
NCT ID NCT05340361
Summary
This study is testing how safely a specific drug-coated heart stent can be expanded to fit arteries that are wider at one end than the other. Researchers will use a special high-resolution camera inside the artery to check for any damage to the stent after it is stretched. The goal is to see if this controlled overexpansion is a safe and effective technique for improving stent placement in tricky artery shapes.
