Heart procedure showdown: new catheter challenges standard wire

Summary
This study compares two devices doctors use during heart stent procedures to measure blood flow blockages. Researchers want to see if a newer, easier-to-use pressure catheter works as well as the standard pressure wire at preventing future heart problems. About 2,500 patients with narrowed heart arteries will be randomly assigned to have their stent procedure guided by one device or the other and followed for up to five years.
