Heart stent patients test safer blood thinner switch
NCT ID NCT07025148
Summary
This study aims to find a safer medication option for heart stent patients who are at high risk for both blood clots and serious bleeding. It will compare two blood-thinning drugs (clopidogrel vs. a lower dose of prasugrel) in 40 patients who have already had a stent placed. The main goal is to see which drug better controls platelet activity to prevent clots without increasing bleeding danger.
